Phoebe is a specialist when it comes to the espionage of the deep-cover type. She was also seen as an expert in penetrating the enemy and keeping an eye on their practices. Her latest appointment was at the McKay Security Services. This agency ad some of the former military men and the intelligence operatives. Jesse Murdoch appointed their changed everything. He is quite sweet and handsome and she wanted to trust him.

Jesse life has been a nightmare since the time his entire unit got captured by jihadists. He was forced to watch the jihadists torturing and killing his fellow army men. When he got rescued then he was faced with one repetitive question that how he was able to come out alive alone? His life changed for the better when he joined McKay. Meeting Phoebe for the first time made him feel like a human after a long time.

This is a good book but probably the weakest so far in the series or at least it is in the bottom two. The author could have done something better with the plot and the character development to keep things much more happening in this one.
