Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman load the opening of the book with some disastrous scenes which are narrated by Ax Norman. There is war everywhere for the last hundred years, and almost every living soul has faced the consequences of this terrible thing. Krynn that used to be a safe place for the people once is just going down in ashes now. Only those who have survived over the past hundred years had the potential to fight for their rights.
Those who were weak or lacked the courage to strive have perished slowly. All of this situation is for the normal living beings who have never touched any book related to magic. For Raistlin and his men, it was like a simple ride that they took and as a result of it, they easily landed a hundred years in the future. Raistlin’s main agenda was to master the Queen of Darkness and for this purpose, he used his magic and came forward in time.
Now after coming to this new era, Raistlin has analyzed that the circumstances are not that friendly for him. The annals of Time are hard to change and Raistlin lacks the power to bring that sort of the change in the timeline. Dragons of Spring Dawning and Time of the Twins are in good relation with the theme of this book.
These kinds of themes are well explained by the authors in all the books because they like to bring such complicated stuff in front of the audience all the time. Boredom does not exist in such kinds of stories because they are knit well and with extreme care.
