Trusting Skylar is the first chapter in the Silverstone novel series. The book is a contemporary romance novel and it is written by Susan Stoker. She has written some exceptional novels in the contemporary romance genre and became a bestselling writer in USA Today and Wall Street Journal. Shielding Ember is a very good example of her work. After this, you will also like to listen to the audio version of her Shielding Sierra novel.

The audio narration of this Trusting Skylar novel is done by Lucy Rivers. The narration was poorly done and there is hardly any review of this audiobook that was in any sort of favor of this performance.

Carson was an ex-military operative. He has never dated seriously especially since he left the army along with his teammates. He opened Silverstone Towing since his retirement from the military. This was the cover of his other job. He was a contract killer. When Skylar Reid, the kindergarten teacher looked for help while stuck on the side of the interstate then they both had a quick attraction to each other. The only problem here was that the career of Carson had jaded him. Skylar was quite innocent wanted her in that way.

Skylar had no idea that she would fall in love with the tow driver so quickly. Moving on, the got high especially when the life of Skylar got threatened.

The storyline of the Trusting Skylar novel is quite decent. It might be a little predictable but still, it will be worth your time. The major issue with this audio novel is its poor narration where Lucy sounded robotic almost throughout.
