Trunk Music: Harry Bosch Series, Book 5 Audiobook
Harry Bosch can solve any case in a flash because of his interest in the field and also his potential to sniff crime very quickly. He has shown his ability in the previous four books and Michael Connelly takes the case to Hollywood in this episode. The police find the dead body of a Hollywood producer in the trunk of a Rolls Royce and the police think that the case cannot be solved.
A few of the officers think that it is a case linked to some money matters but there is no trace except for the two bullets that are shot in the head from a very close range. Harry Bosch does not believe in these things and he is not in the mood to quit on a case when he gets his hands on one.
The search for the criminal takes Harry to Las Vegas where he finds out that the man who has been shot had a debt to settle with the mafia. Soon there is an old girlfriend who makes the situation tougher to handle. Harry gets into trouble too and he thinks that he should not have taken the case this far. Dick Hill’s professional voice completes the narration here in a decent way.
Desert Star and Void Moon are also classics, especially for their complex plots. Such books can develop your interest permanently in thrillers and murder mysteries. Harry starts the case as an investigating agent and then he too is investigated in the middle which lands him in the corner of the suspects. So the agent becomes the suspect for a while in the story.
