True Blue is a mystery thriller novel with suspense which is written by the one and only David Baldacci, a genius of mystery thriller novels. If you are looking for more quality titles from Baldacci then consider listening to the audio version of his Memory Man novel. Similarly, Long Shadows is another novel from the same author that promises top-class entertainment.
The audio narration of True Blue’s novel is done by Ron McLarty. It was an acceptable performance but there is nothing as such to brag about. As an ex-cop in D.C., Mace Perry was in the investigation of a high-profile murder. She wanted to solve that mysterious case soon and as a last attempt, the get her badge back. But, she found herself in a collision which was with the dark side of national security.
Perry was considered to be a firebrand in the D.C. police force until she was kidnapped and subsequently framed for a serious crime. After that, she spent a couple of years in prison. Once she was back then she was fully focused on one mission – It was about being a cop one more time. Her only chance at the true blue again was a solve a high-profile homicide case and that too on her own. But even having her police chief sister by her side, she had to work in the shadows. There was a vindictive attorney who would stop at anything to send Perry back to prison. Then came Roy Kingman into the scene…
This is a typical David Baldacci novel with his signature writing style. The story will captivate you and you will have an enjoyable time for sure.
