It has been twelve long years since Atticus has shun himself from the rest of the world and in the hiding he has been training but not alone this time. During this span of a decade the Druid has trained for himself an apprentice who now holds equal skills and is ready to take his place.
The binding ritual was not easy to perform and also it was linked to another dangerous thing i.e the news of Atticus’ survival. Usually people of one or two enemy to deal with but Atticus is one of those ill fated who has a huge number of enemies waiting for him.
All of them thought that they have killed him a number of years ago but now they know that he survived the last fight thus all of them are coming for him now. Bacchus i.e the Roman god wants to see Atticus in the grave once again and then there are dark elves who want to rip of his bones.
Also there is a vampire who really wanted to suck the blood of Atticus last time but he never got the chance, this time he thinks that he will quench his thirst. The Druid is not alone this time he is coming with Granuaile i.e his trust worthy disciple. Kevin Hearne doesn’t hide too many surprises same as Hounded and Hexed, the major motive of the author has always been the presentation of action. Fight scenes have always remained the essence of Kevin’s works. For the fight scenes the best man for the narrator’s job is none other than Luke Daniels. The narrator has colored the whole fighting zone pure red with his voice here.
