Trail of Lightning Audiobook
Tanis Parenteau narrates this book in a way that no other narrator could have done. Tanis has handled the Navajo thing quite masterly and no listener can object to the accent ever. Rebecca Roanhorse starts the story with a bang as the author tells the listeners about terrible destruction which just destroys more than half of the planet.
Nothing remains and then out of that nothing emerges Dinetah. Maggie i.e the monster hunter and the girl with a lot of hidden talents are hired to solve a case related to a monster. For the final solution of the case, she has to go to Dinetah. Going alone at such an unknown place is not always wise so she takes the medicine man with her in case she would need any help.
When she reaches there, the girl realizes that she has miscalculated most of the things related to the monster which she is searching for. The powers of the monster and the truth behind it are too terrible. For the sake of a final solution, Maggie is forced to look into the past with extreme accuracy. History is searched by the two characters and they get amazed by several hidden secrets.
Black Sun amazed many people by its odd story and Storm of Locusts i.e the second part of the series also has further strange things related to the sixth world. Rebecca’s creations are always the way things, the author presents such terror that the listener gets dazed for a while. Here listening about the six worlds brings strange thoughts to our mind which we just cannot explain.
