Thrawn: Treason Audiobook
Grand Admiral Thrawn is in trouble from all sides because he has promises to keep and loyalty to show. The problem is that he does not have to show these two things to the same side. Serving Emperor Palpatine has benefitted Thrawn in many ways and he has decided that he will keep the promise that he has made to serve the Empire.
The mission to create the defender program has also been left aside by Thrawn because he does not want to go against the orders of the Empire. The Empire on the other hand is working on a project which they have named the Death Star.
If the project gets completed then the Empire will not need an army anymore because it would be powerful enough to destroy an entire planet with just a single click of a button. In this way, the entire galaxy will bow down to the Empire and the rivalry and war will end because no one would be able to fight back against the Death Star. Thrawn is put in trouble by the author Timothy Zahn in the middle of this story.
A friend from the home world comes to him and tells him that the planet which he holds dear is in danger. Now if Thrawn goes to save his planet then it would mean that he is trying to go against the Empire and he would be known as a traitor then.
