The Wedding is the 2nd book of the Lairds’ Fiancées series. It is a romance and historical fiction novel penned by Julie Garwood. It is a tale of love and soaring adventure, as the author adds passion, intrigue, rivalry, and deception in this representation of medieval Scotland.

Julia is a famed American author who has penned over twenty-seven novels. Many of her books have been New York Times bestsellers. Her novels take us from the clans of Medieval Scotland to the life of a modern-day computer hacker. In this sense, her work comprises of the suspense and historical subgenres of romance. This audiobook is narrated by Heather Wilds. She isn’t one of the best out there; nonetheless, it is a satisfactory performance that gets us by. Her male voice could use some improvement.

However, on the way, the caravan is intercepted by a rival band of Werce. They demand that she marry their leader, the quick-tempered yet handsome Connor MacAlister. Even though Connor says he only wants a son from her, he longs for the day she will proclaim her love for him.

Once again, Julie captures the attention of her readers worldwide with this timeless romance story. The best thing about this novel is the characters; the secondary characters are as captivating as the main.
