The quest of a young wizard changes or is altered by the appearance of a beautiful girl. The young wizard wanted the magical ring which is said to have awesome magical powers. For this purpose, he went to the Tombs of Atuan but the path was not easy because a labyrinth surrounded the whole place.

The shattered bones of the heroes of the past tell the whole tale in a sad tone. The wizard however is desperate to get to the ring of Erreth-Akbe and he wants it no matter what happens or how much danger he has to face. After meeting the priestess the young wizard just seems to forget about the ring and he becomes more worried about the fate of the young girl who needs help. A love bond is created between the two which is narrated by Rob Inglis. Fantasies such as The Left Hand of Darkness and The Farthest Shore tend to take the listener to strange lands but this one portrays love along with fantasy. Thus it is a fantasy and romantic tale at the same time which makes it equally interesting for the young and the adult listeners.
