Ambiguity surrounds the ten realms because there is nothing certain here. Each moment the scenario changes and everybody has his own goals for which he is working. Taking care of others or halting for rest is not an option at all. If you blink just once you can lose everything at the hands of the forces that are present around you.
Erik is on his quest to find Old Hei and with him is Rugrat who has issues of his own to deal with. They have reached the third realm now and going to the alchemist association trial is the only way their problems can be solved. Together they move forward but the road toward their destination is full of hardships that they have to bear. [The Third Realm Audiobook]
Enemies wait on every corner ready to pounce on them when they are weak. So they have to stick together to survive this round as the ten realms become more and more deadly for everyone present in it. Michael Chatfield’s The Second Realm and The Fourth Realm are well attached to this part and going in a sequence in this series will make you able to enjoy it even more.
Todd Menesses don’t give a tense voice to the story but it has been serious by the narrator because the author has given no space to leisure and love in any of the parts. It has been a single-focused battle for all the heroes as they march from one realm to the other. This voyage takes a lot out of their bodies but moving forward is the only available option to them and the next option is perhaps death. [The Third Realm Audiobook]
