Whether a person has listened to the previous books or not when he sees the name Drizzt on the book he should take it without any hesitation. All the legends of Drizzt or the stories attached to his quests are mind-blowing. The stories show the different struggles of the dark elf after he is stranded by his clan. Initially, in some books we saw him looking for a new home, later he made friends and established the Companions of the Hall.
The first book of this series sends Drizzt after the Crystal Shard. The dark elf is on a mission to destroy the Shard before it gets into the wrong hands and brings destruction to the land. He cannot perform his mission alone that’s why he takes the help of the priest named Cadderly. Together the two start the mission but don’t get to the desired thing because their way is blocked by the enemy.
Jarlaxle and Artemis stand in their way and the intentions of the enemy are bad this time. R.A. Salvatore like always does not describe a lot of things at once in the first part rather the author opens up secrets very slowly. The Legend of Drizzt: The Collected Stories and Homeland also discussed one thing at a time.
This way makes it easier for the listener to understand the story. This has been the quality of Salvatore’s writings because of which so many children all over the world are attracted to these stories. No abrupt changes are made and the story never gets out of track once it had started running on it. Unlimited action is also garnished with emotions all the time and that makes it better and heart-touching.
