The Shadow Sect is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is the opening title in the Netherdei novel series which is written by Peter Hackshaw. He is the number one bestselling author of post-apocalyptic novels. If you want to try out more novels from the author then Ever Winter will be a good one for you. The audio narration of The Shadow Sect novel is done by Joe Jameson. The narration was mostly good. However, there were a few complaints about the accent of the narrator, but that will not be a big issue at all.
The story of this novel starts with Falken Calder who always dreamt about becoming immortal. But, just as a scullery boy working in service of Ardent, his chances of rising through the ranks ahead were quite slim. There was just one way there for taking up the big title of the cultivator. This was to be done to awaken well before the time he could come of age. Time was short and running out quite quickly.
There was a grand tournament going on which was for the magicking arts. It will bring old foes to the shores of Albion. There were plenty of rumors about war and betrayal that send Falken on a journey that was within the unknown. There he also unearthed many of the mysteries associated with the long-forgotten and ancient sect. The secrets of the sect would offer big hope and there would be a definite chance for the Falken there to set up big powers which nobody else have seen in an age.
The Shadow Sect is a top-rated novel. You will enjoy this and wouldn’t let you wait for the second one in the series.
