Julie Garwood has been impressed by the Scottish Highland from the beginning of her career as an author. Judith was living in England but she had the desire to visit the Highlands because her father belonged to that part of the world.
She wanted to know more about her father who had left her and the rest of the family long ago. When an old friend in the highlands was about to give birth to her first child Judith thought that it was the right chance to visit the place. Judith had made a promise to her friend in the past that she would be there with her when she will give birth to her first child. Thus Judith goes to the place and she gets the company of Iain who happens to be the laird of his clan.
The man attracts attention of Judith at the first glance and she also remains successful in creating an impression on the young barbarian. This is the scene that Susan Duerden has narrated wonderfully well here. The relationship between the two lovers is electric just like in Ransom as they come close to each other within no time.
However, Judith wasn’t prepared for the revelation of the truth about her father which could destroy everything between her and Iain. More intense than Hotshot this crispy story is made to steal the heart of the listeners.
