All the demons were sealed in the citadel long ago and since then no one has dared to attack the Order. The enemies attacked the Order with the help of those demons once and because of that attack, the Order trapped all the demons and made the enemies kneel in front of them. Now a conference is being held between the Order and Lannovians which is supposed to be for the sake of peace and prosperity.
Cally becomes a part of the conference when she wasn’t expecting it at all. Being only an apprentice, Cally didn’t expect that her master will take her to the conference. As an apprentice, Cally knows all the rules that are taught to her and the most important of them is not to use the magical powers for killing. When Cally reaches the place, the whole thing proves to be an ambush because the enemies have finally discovered a way to free the demons.
The Lannovians kill Cally’s master and only she and the warrior named Rowe remain successful in escaping the deadly trap. Both the survivors hide in the forest where they learn about the conspiracy taking place against the Order. Edward W. Robertson changes the mode of the story at this stage as Cally leaves all the rules of the Order aside and decides to choose her way.
