The Rivals

The Rivals is a romance book authored by Vi Keeland. It is typical of the style that the author bases her books upon. She is one of the most renowned authors of contemporary romance. Her books have appeared on bestselling lists. She is a #1 New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestseller.

When the book is already solid, the duo of Sebastian York and Andi Arndt can take a novel to the next level. They are simply amazing with their performance of the characters.

The feud between Sophia and Weston started at the altar. Neither of them was at the wedding. This happened before they were born. Their grandfathers were best friends, yet both fell for the same woman. The woman, Grace Copeland couldn’t choose between them. thus, they went their separate ways and married other women. they both became heads of their respective business empires. Thus, a rivalry was created.

Things changed when Grace died. She left one of the most valuable hotels in the world. Thus, both families set their eyes on the hotel. When Sophia and Weston meet, they go for each other’s throats. They were taught to hate each other. However, whenever they fought, they somehow wound up in bed.

This novel gives us the message that all is fair in love and war. Also, there is a fine line between love and hate. This is apparent by looking at the story of Sophia and Weston. They both felt like the odd man out in their respective families. Thus, this feeling drove them to overcome their emotional hurdles. The story does get predictable at times. However, these stories are all based on some tropes so we can’t hold it against this novel.
