The Restaurant at the End of the Universe
The Restaurant at the End of the Universe is the second chapter of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. This one is a humorous science fiction and fantasy novel which is authored by Douglas Adams. He was an awesome author who still has a huge following for some of his most amazing books and one of them is Mostly Harmless. Another book by the author that deserves to be mentioned here is Shada.
The audio narration of the subject title is done by Martin Freeman. It was just an okay performance and there is nothing too much to brag about it, nor anything significant to the complaint. You will join here Arthur Dent, the cosmically displaced along with his most special comrades in arms. They were all on their desperate search for a place where they could eat just as they hurtle right across the space which was powered by some pure improbability. Ford Prefect was one of his motley shipmates of Arthur. He was a friend and a highly experienced contributor to the two-headed and three-armed ex-president of the galaxy. Then there was Tricia McMillan who was a fellow Earth refugee who had gone native. Then it came to Marvin who was a moody android. Having an ultimate hotspot for a whole evening was their destination not only for fine dining but also for apocalyptic entertainment. That was supposed to be a place where the food was known to speak for itself, and that too in literal terms. [The Restaurant at the End of the Universe Audiobook]
The Restaurant at the End of the Universe is a classic and you will have great fun listening to it aloud. You will find the galaxy quite amusing through the irreverently silly eyes of Douglas Adams.
