Rebecca De Leeuw has narrated this audiobook beautifully. She can transfix the audience with her accents and her male voice isn’t lacking either.

Lady Gwendoline Muir has seen enough tragic events in her life. Her husband died way too soon in a freak accident, leaving her in a quiet life with family and friends. Content wither life, she has no desire to marry again. However, she does feel a strong sensation when she is scooped up in the arms of Hugo, Lord Trentham.

Hugo never wanted to kiss the spoiled aristocrat, but he did find her beautiful. He was a gentleman in name only and had made a name for himself owing to his bravery. He was happiest when he worked the lands, but now, duty and title required a wife from him.

He had no desire to court Lady Muir, nor did he want a role in society’s games. However, he found himself weak in her presence. As time goes by, he wants her and she has ruined him for any other woman out there.

This is a sweet and romantic story that is quite unpredictable. Both the main characters are unique and unlike any, we’ve seen before.
