The Player and the Pixie is a contemporary romance novel. It is the second book in the Rugby novel series. The book is co-authored by L. H. Cosway and Penny Reid. Cosway is an Irish author with several good novels to her name and one of them is Sidequest for Love. Another mind-blowing book of the author to check out is How the Light Gets In.
The audio narration of The Player and the Pixie is done by George Allan and KC Sheridan. The narration is top-notch with distinct personalities added for all the characters.
The Pixie
Lucy never liked rugby. As the younger sister of the most infamous rugby player in Ireland, she couldn’t seem to escape the huge shadow cast over her by her elder brother. Or, it may also be because of the frequent attempts of her mother to sort of micromanage her future. Her rainbow-type hair was as free-spirited as her great quest for inner peace. Still, the overbearing expectations were bringing her down.
The Player
Sean was a cold-hearted brute or that was what he has been told by everyone, quite frequently. His baby blue, blonde locks and rock-hard body made ladies all around drool with desire. As the second most infamous player of rugby across the world, he should have been basking in success. But Sean was never content settling for the second prize. His frequent confrontations with the elder brother of Lucy leave him cold always.
The Plan
Sean and Lucy had the potential to solve the problems with each other. The solution was quite obvious. You scratch my back and I would simply bail you out of jail.
