The novels by Kiera Cass are trustworthy mostly, especially when it is about the fans of teens and young adult romance titles. The Selection and The Heir novels are good enough to prove the class of Kiera Cass as a good quality fantasy author. The subject novel, The One is the third chapter in The Selection novel series. It is also a YA romance novel which is expected of Kiera Cass.
If we talk about the narration of this audiobook then it is done by Amy Rubinate. It wasn’t a good performance as she sounded a lot like a robot.
In this novel, it is finally the time for the winner to be given the crown. Only, The One winner.
America had no idea at all that she would ever find herself very close to be given the crown. It was her belief all since she was picked for competing in the Selection. She even never thought that she would be able to win the heart of Prince Maxon ever. But, just as we get to the closure of the contest, America realizes the worth of it. It was the time when the looming threats outside the walls of the palace were getting vicious. America was fully aware that what that would mean for her to lose from here. She also knew how much she would need to struggle for having the future that she wants.
The story and the characters are so fantastic that you wouldn’t feel like pausing the novel even for a second. But, it is all for the storyline and its characters. The narration by Amy is a weak link to this novel.
