World of dinosaurs used to exist millions of years ago on the earth. Then they got extinct but no one has been able to detect the reason for it. Some think that they got killed because of storms while there are others who have a different approach toward everything. Michael Crichton was impressed by all these stories since his childhood so he created a world of his own in which the dinosaurs still exist and they roam on the surface of the earth.
The author named this world Jurassic Park. In this part of the world, dinosaurs are recreated through fossils and finally different kinds of dinosaurs start roaming the face of the earth once again. The park was opened in the first part of the series for the outsiders. Soon a disaster took place and the part was closed forever. The dinosaurs that were present in the park were killed and the dreams of their owner perished permanently.
When this second part of the series starts in the voice of Scott Brick we are told that a few of the dinosaurs survived and now they are reproducing at a fast pace. Thus the action far greater than Sphere and Eaters of the Dead starts as the dinosaurs pose a threat to a group of humans again.
This is quite an exciting book that the author has written and the description of the dinosaurs is the strongest point of this entire series. Each and every kind of dinosaur is there is this series in its complete grandeur. Friendly dinosaurs also exist in this episode but they are hard to find.
