Itβs a long series and one of the best J.R.R. Tolkien has created in his lifetime. The concept of the ring and its impact on the living soul is captivating without any doubt. The story started with The Hobbit and later the author added more and more characters and some new concepts too. The author had everything well chalked out in his mind since the beginning and this has been the reason for a brilliant flow in the series.
Sauron has all the rings when the story starts and he intends to use them for his dark desires. There is no stopping to the evil force because of the power which is there in its hands. The entire thing would have been accomplished by Sauron within no time if he had the final ring in his grasp but it is possessed by a hobbit. The hobbit found the ring when he was not expecting it but now he plans to destroy it so that the land can be saved from the evil doer.
The task surely was not an easy one because the ring was to be destroyed in the Crack of Doom. The journey was quite tough, also carrying the ring was not an easy thing because it had the power to tempt the one carrying it. Rob Inglis with a whispering tough narrates this story which has a spooky style in it.
The Return of the King and The Hobbit is a must if someone wants to listen to this book. The stories of this series can listen as an isolated book too still it is better to start listening to the series in a continuous order.
