The Iron Queen

Julie Kagawa is a talented writer and has published already a 15 chapters series with the title of The Iron Fey. She is only 38 years old. It will be a nice idea to look for more novels such as Night of the Dragon and The Iron Daughter. The Iron Queen is the third chapter of her bestselling series, The Iron Fey. Khristine Hvam is here as the reader of this novel. She is quite an accomplished narrator and gave a sensational performance with all the experience that she has.

I am Megan Chase and I will be 17 years of age in less than 24 hours. I wouldn’t be turning 17, technically. It is because I have been for too long in the Nevernever. You might know that you don’t age when you are in Faery. A year has now passed in the real world. I am just a few days older if we consider age from the time I went in. I have changed a lot in my real life and I just cannot recognize myself.

I thought that it was all over with my time with the fey. There were so many tough choices to make and to make sacrifices of all those who you love. My support was behind me. But, a terrible storm is coming. It is the Iron fey army that will pull me back. That would take me away from the banished prince who vowed to stand by me always. The conflict that resulted was so powerful that I wasn’t sure if anybody will be able to survive.

The Iron Queen is good but not very good. It is because the storyline was quite predictable as many people started this after the prior two chapters. Despite mentioning all this and with no spoilers, the novel is highly recommended.
