Heather Graham has painted the spooky area of Salem to perfection for all of us. This is the area where the witches and ghosts still exist and they are ready to guide you in your problems but not all of them as there are those who want to eat you up as well. Devin Lyle has known right from her childhood that her Aunt Mina was able to talk to ghosts but she hasn’t believed in any of this crap.
She thinks that her aunt was actually crazy and she had loaded all those things up with the passage of time. Now her aunt is gone and she has left the old apartment for Devin. Devin wanted to come to this place not because she was fascinated but because of the fact that she needed a place to live. She never knew that she would be able to see everything she used to hear about magic becoming true in front of her eyes.
We listen to the progress of the tale in Luke Daniels’ voice in this part of the series. Just when Devin comes to the apartment, she listens about a murder that took place in the woods nearby. Rocky was new in the Krewe of Hunters and when he founds the dead body of a friend in the woods, he gets really surprised and sad.
Then another body comes to the surface and a shocking surprise as well. It seems that a ghost is guiding Devin about the murders and according to that ghost, Devin could be the next victim. Like Fade to Black and The Evil Inside, the love between the primary characters is clear from the start but they don’t accept it in front of each other as they have dead bodies to deal with.
