The narrator of this audiobook is Derek Perkins. He did an amazing job and made the story more enjoyable. He distinguished the characters using a variety of accents.

Ian MacDonald comes home and finds his clan in peril. He spent years fighting abroad, and now, he has to right the wrongs of the past. He also has to claim the bride he has resisted for long.

Sileas depended on Ian to act as her knight in shining armor as a young lass. His rescue attempt compromised the virtue of the woman and he was forced to marry her. He didn’t wish to do this but he was left with no choice.

Five years have passed since then and Sileas has grown from an awkward girl into a great beauty. She deserves better than the reluctant husband who would rather fight in wars than be with his wife.

If you’re a fan of castles, clans, royalty, and medieval love affairs, this book is perfect for you. Right from the start, this book transports us to medieval times as we are told of the exploits of 4 Highland boys as they turn into fearless men.
