The Gambler

The Gambler is a chapter of the Wedding Pact novel series. It is a contemporary romance novel. The writer of this novel and the series is Denise Grover Swank. She is a prolific bestselling author of contemporary romance, young adult, and urban fantasy novels. Apart from The Wedding Pack, Bachelor Brotherhood is also her excellent novel series with multiple bestselling chapters. A good example of her work is Twenty-Eight and a Half Wishes. Another brilliant novel from the author is Her Scream in the Science where the storyline and characters are very intriguing.

The narration of this novel is done by Shannon McManus. The performance is just OK. There is nothing too special about it.

Libby St. Clair is known to be a big believer in fate. She believes in fate to the extent that she is even willing to pin each and everything on a curse that was placed on her by a fortune teller. A couple of her best friends in her childhood were also given the same curse. The curse was that they will all marry before they turn 30 and their marriage would be a disaster. Moreover, they would end up with a man who will not be their fiancée. All this has proven to be true in the lives of her friends. They are now feverishly happy. But, the attempt of Libby to start with her part of the curse to proposing a wrong man ends in a very wrong way from the altar.

The book is kind of romantic and it reaches a point of erotica as well. There is one steam hot scene in this one as well. If the storyline is concerned, it will keep you engage for quite long.
