The Crown is the fifth chapter of The Selection novel series. It is a teen & young adult romance novel which is written by Kiera Cass. She is an American author of teen & young adult fantasy novels. Undoubtedly, The Selection is the best novel that Kiera Cass has written so far. Another novel that did well for the author from the same The Selection series is The One.
The narration of The Crown is done by Brittany Pressley and this performance didn’t help as such. She over-dramatized the voice of the main character, especially when the character is upset. A new era dawned in The Heir within the world of The Selection. A couple of decades had passed since Prince Maxon and America Singer fell in love. Moreover, their daughter was the very first princess to get hold of a Selection of her own.
Eadlyn never thought that she would come across a real partner among the 35 suitors in the Selection, let alone find true love. But sometimes, the heart for sure has a definite way of surprising all. Eadlyn then was in a position where she must make a choice that would feel more difficult, and more important as well than what she ever imagined.
The Crown is a fine book. The ending left listeners with a lot to be desired as it was then meant to be the last book of the series. The narration further made things difficult for the listeners as it was not up to the mark. If you have been following The Selection series from scratch then you couldn’t live without knowing what happened in The Crown novel. So do try out this one.
