Temptation

Temptation is the first book of The Hunted Series. It is written by Ivy Smoak. She is a promising author of romance novels and got plenty to share with us through her books. You will know her better as a novelist after finishing her Empire High Matchmaker. Another good novel from the same author is Addiction.

Meghan Crawford narrated this novel. She is a new and inexperienced narrator. Her voice sounds very immature and childish which never suited the characters.

It was just a single instance in my life when I felt lost for words. It was the case when I was seeing the perfection in front of my eyes. It was a rainy morning of autumn when I met James Hunter for the first time. Rather, I ran into him. I had never experienced someone that handsome ever before. I loved the great stubble that he had on his jawline and the way he held me within his strong arms.

It was an instant thought in my mind that I want him. But, I knew it instantly too that he was out of my league. The fact was that he was my professor. I know very well that I need to completely forget about him. But, how could I do that possibly when I always assume that he is daring me to cross the line whenever he stares at me in the class. I just couldn’t control myself. I don’t care if he is the professor as things can work between a student and professor too at times.

You will be happy with the story and characters of this book. But, the poor performance of Meghan Crawford was compromising the nicely written content.
