Ilona Andrews is the pen name of husband-wife duo of Ilona Gordon and Andrew Gordon. They are known for writing romantic fiction and urban fantasy together. Magic Bites is among her best works. Magic Slays follows as a very close second after the best recommended novel.
The narration of this novel is done by Natalie Naudus. This chapter saw a new narrator in the series which was not really required. It is because the audience were quite accustomed with the voice of the previous narrator and it was quite suitable with the characters as well. The new narrator was not bad but the abrupt change in fourth chapter was just not welcomed at all by the listeners.
Maud Demille is the daughter of a special group who are known for providing lodging to the visitors from other groups. The name of this group is Innkeepers. She knew it very well that a simple life is not at all on the cards.
But, even Maud might not have actually anticipated that what exactly Fate would have for her. Maud was once the wife of a very resourceful vampire knight. Helen, her young daughter wee exiled along with Maud. It was all due to the treachery.
A lot of listeners reluctantly picked up this novel after a disappointing end to the last chapter of the series. They were quite surprised pleasantly to find out that what a great entertainer this novel is. They enjoyed it thoroughly with all its characters lowing in a beautiful storyline.
