Carian Cole has an unending passion for the bad boys, and that is what her stories feature. Storm is one such book. It is a contemporary romance title. It is the first book in the Ashes and Embers series. It is the story of a nice and sweet girl who can’t escape the attraction of a tattooed and muscular hunk. The author has other similar books for the interested, e.g. Torn and Asher.
CJ Bloom has narrated this book. You would thoroughly enjoy her solid performance as the female character. However, you could have reservations about her male voice. Other than that, she is a fantastic narrator that knows the art of bringing written words to life.
This story is based on the heroine getting stuck in the pickup truck of a stranger during a blizzard. She is rescued by this stranger and is to stay there for forty-eight hours. This is a stranger with long hair, tattoos, and muscles to no end. He has an insanely attractive voice and a heart_melting smile. This stranger lit a fire in the heart of Evelyn and now she has no idea what to do with it.
Evelyn is the quirky girl-next-door. She has been living a normal life but has endured a bad relationship. The guy just has never been there. Then enters Storm; the hero. He is the rock-star who is used to getting what he wants. And he wants Evelyn, to no end. He has to convince her that Michael is not right for her. It is all up to her now.
This story is about a dying relationship in which one person wants to seek the thrill of passion once again. Thus, fate brings them that scenario one way or another. It features an amazing couple that complements each other very well.
