Stay is a romance, new adult fiction, contemporary romance, and erotic literature book written by Elle Kennedy and Sarina Bowen. It is the second book of the WAGs series. Elle is a Canadian bestselling author whose books have been sold in more than twenty countries worldwide. She has multiple titles on the NYT, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal. Sarina has mostly collaborated with Elle, as they have also won the RITA Award for Best Contemporary Romance: Mid-Length. The duo of Jacob Morgan and Lucy River narrated this book. While the male is passable, the female doesn’t work at all.

She is supposed to check his file but is almost sure she spends the majority of her day texting with her lifelong crush and helping him with his every need. She’s nursing a broken heart all due to a recent breakup. Still, she is content with the online flirting. However, when she has to meet him face-to-face, panic ensues.
Matt has never been a stranger to heartbreak. He isn’t over the destruction of his marriage. He’s the only guy who knows that professional hockey and long-term relationships don’t mix at all. He barely gets to meet his kids and his ex is crazy. Worse yet, the only person who understands him won’t even show her face – or rather will she?
This is a solid book of the WAGs series. The story is fantastic, just the performance of the narration is subpar.
