She is an award-winning actress and she did an excellent job narrating this title.

Spensa always dreamed about becoming a pilot. She wanted to prove to the world that she was a hero just like her father. She eventually had her dream come true but when she made it to the sky, she came to learn some harsh truths about her father. All of the humor that she heard for the past many years about her father were true. He was cowardly and during the battle against the Krill, he deserted his flight. Spensa on the other side was sure that there was a lot more to that story. She was also sure that whatever happened with her father in his starship could be repeated with her as well. When she made it to outer space, she heard the stars, and that for her was a terrifying experience. All that she was taught about Earth was a big lie.
