Star Nomad

When the war started between the empire and the Alliance, pilot Captain Alisa was one of the most enthusiastic soldiers in the war zone. Till the last confrontation, the passion didn’t end at all and Alisa was no doubt the star. After the end of the battle she wanted to return to her family like all the other soldiers but her fate had something else in stock for her. The Alliance won the battle but Alisa didn’t make it to her house rather she crashed on an isolated planet.
At this time she wasn’t thinking about the war or the Alliance anymore rather she was curious about her daughter who was waiting for her at home. With no resources and all the connections being cut off, Alisa steals a ship from a group of savages who were quite tough to handle for a female.
Moreover, a cyborg is after her who wants to terminate her at any cost. Though the empire lost the battle these cyborgs were still robotically doing their duty. Alisa struggles hard but she is committed to seeing her daughter once again no matter what happens to the rest of the world this time.
Patterns in the Dark and The Blade’s Memory are created by Lindsay Buroker in a little haste but not this one. The story has excellent details of emotions which make the listener get associated with the show. Kate Reading does the rest through narration which was her duty to perform. It is not fast paced so gear up to enjoy every emotion in slow motion. A wonderful story if someone likes strong female characters.
