Solaris is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is written by Stanislaw Lem in Polish and translated into English by Bill Johnston. Stanislaw Lem was a very talented writer of science fiction and fantasy books from Poland. He has also written multiple essays on a variety of subjects which include futurology, philosophy, literary criticism, and many other humorous and satirical stories. The Truth and the Other Stories will allow you to get hold of some good content written by Stanislaw. The Star Diaries is another one which will offer you the same level of entertainment.
The audio narration of this book is done by Alessandro Juliani. It was a tough task considering the female characters, but he did it magnificently and the audience loved it. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Solaris, the Audible has offered a brand new translation of the book which is in cooperation with Lem Estate. This is a complete translation of the book for the first time. This is also the first-ever translation done directly from Polish to English.
Kris Kelvin in Solaris arrived over an orbiting research station for the sake of studying the remarkable ocean. It was the one that covered the face of the place entirely. But, the fellow scientists of Kris appear to be losing their hold on the reality. It was all plagued by the manifestations of the repressed memories that they had. Then, the long-dead wife of Kevin appeared all of a sudden, and things changed all of a sudden.
The story is fine but there was some criticism by some followers and critics that the characters of this novel didn’t react much realistically. This seems to be true at times and perhaps they were missing the environments where those people were in.
