Skyward

Skyward is a teen & young adult novel. It is the first installment in The Skyward Series. The book is written by Brandon Sanderson. He is a reliable author of science fiction and fantasy. He proved his worth through different top novels where one of them is The Lost Metal and another one is Arcanum Unbounded: The Cosmere Collection.

Suzy Jackson narrated this Skyward novel. The performance was incredible and you will surely have a great time listening to this.

The entire world of Spensa was under attack for quite a few decades. The heroes and the pilots from the then remaining human race were becoming the ones who were always the dream of Spensa. Since the time she was a little girl, she always imagined soaring skyward and then proving her bravery as well. But, the issue was that her fate was intertwined with her father, who himself was a pilot. He got killed several years ago when he deserted his team abruptly. That was something that made Spensa’s chances of attending the flight school quite thin.

There will be no one who will allow Spensa to forget whatever her father has done. But still, fate is known to operate in many different ways. The flight school might well be a long shot but she was quite determined to fly. Then came the time with a considerable accidental discovery. It was something within a long-forgotten cavern that could provide her with a definite way to claim the stars.

The story is fantastic and the characters are likable and quite well rounded along with relatable points of view. The book for sure is recommended to listen to in audio.
