Sinful Empire is the third and the last book of The Mount Trilogy. It is erotic fiction and contemporary romance novel authored by Meghan March. It is preceded by the novel Defiant Queen. Meghan is a USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author that has sold more than a million books in a dozen or so languages. If you’ve never heard of this trilogy before, Ruthless King is the correct place to start your journey.
The narration has been handled by the duo of Grace Grant and Joe Arden. Grace does the heavy lifting in this novel as Keira has a lot of scenes. She does a great job as the businesswoman extraordinaire. Finally, there is Joe Arden who has been doing this for a long time. He is just a natural at this.
Mount is a true alpha, as hot and mysterious as they come. He keeps what is his, and that includes Keira Kilgore. He is not satisfied with just having her in his debt. It’s no longer enough just to own her body. She can resist all she wants, but Mount doesn’t care much. He gets what he wants. No one can come in between them; not their friends or their enemies. There’s only one way to pay his debt, and that price is Keira’s heart.
This book is ultimately a dark romance with sex scenes plentiful. The main characters are complex and the secondary characters can own the stage themselves. The relationship between the male and female lead is also a unique one. It is a fulfilling conclusion to the trilogy. It was painful to go throw all the cliffhangers from the previous books, but it was all worth it in the end.
