Nicholas Guy Smith narrated this novel. It was mostly a good performance. There were few issues with the pronunciation of names and places in this chapter.
The story in this novel started with the mentioning of a poisoned bold that hit down Princess Anita. It was her big day and she was getting married to Prince Arutha of Krondor. To save his beloved, Prince Arutha started on with the search of the much-needed mystics herbs. Those were known as the Silverthorn. The type was known for only growing in the dark. It was also the one forbidding the place of the Spellweavers.
The prince was accompanied by a minstrel, a mercenary, and a very smart young thief. Prince Arutha would also go on to confront an ancient evil. He would then battle with all of the existing dark powers which were threatening a lot to the enchanted Midkemia realm. Things start to get very interesting from here onwards. This book is a clear winner with its great story and outstanding characters. The series is getting better with every book coming in. you will enjoy the narration as well.
