Shelter for Sophie is a contemporary romance novel. It is the eighth chapter of the Badge of Honor: Texas Heroes novel series which is written by Susan Stoker. She is the bestselling author in the USA. Her Shielding Devyn novel has a big role to play in her success. A lot of contributions also came through her Shielding Gillian novel.
Erin Mallon narrated this novel. She did a great job. She might make you forget for a moment that she is a female narrator especially when she is voicing for the male characters of this book. Her performance was truly that real and magical.
She is quite shy while he is stoic. It is not believed to be any hard personality traits that one could never overcome. Sophie and Roman have their task cut out for them.
Sophie had a great crush on her silent firefighter neighbor. She has been secretly helping her neighbor by mowing her lawn. He thinks that this is done by her nonexistent boyfriend or husband. He is not good with any sort of neighborly chitchats. But her stutter suits her and looks fine. A misunderstanding now at the bar has put him even away from her reach.
The difficult upbringing of Roman is a sore spot. When he thinks that Sophie is trying to take advantage of different poor people for the sake of medical trials then he let her know what he thinks. But when he discovered that the truth is something else then he was a man enough to admit that. They both got closer while helping one another with their lifelong plans.
This novel goes down as another major hit by the author. It will prove to be a superb experience of great excitement, action, and joy of a love story that is all wrapped in one book.
