Scarlet Nights is a historical romance novel. It is the third chapter in the Edilean novel series which is written by Jude Deveraux. She is an accomplished American author who specializes in writing historical romance novels. She has so far written more than 40 novels and many of those came as bestsellers in New York Times. A Knight in Shining Armor is a very special novel by the author. Another good one to consider from Jude is Chance of a Lifetime.
The narration of this chapter is done by Julia Gibson. It was a lousy performance and failed to create any positive impression on the listeners.
Sara was engaged to the seductive and handsome Greg. She was anticipating her wedding in Edilean, Virginia with a lot of excitement. The date was set and the flowers were ordered. Her heirloom dress was all set as well. But only three weeks ahead of the wedding, Greg received a phone call at night and then he left without giving any explanation. A couple of days later, a man climbed through the trapdoor which was on the floor of the apartment of Sara. He claimed that he was her best friend’s brother and he will be moving in.
Mike was telling the real truth about his identity. But, his reasons to come there were quite weird. He was an undercover detective. His target was to make use of Sara for tracking down one of the most notorious female criminals in the USA. That woman was also the mother of the guy whom Sara was planning to marry.
Scarlet Nights is a very exciting, heartwarming, and suspenseful novel. You will love knowing all the characters and will enjoy the storyline as well. The only major issue was the narration which didn’t go well.
