According to the book by Robyn Carr, there is no better place to spend Christmas than the Virgin River and the author surely proves this thought to be true in the end. We witness the land through the eyes of the author named Kaylee Sloan. Kaylee was heartbroken and overworked when she decided to move to somewhere pleasant.
Her mother had died quite recently and she was much attached to her mother. Then the burden of certain deadlines was catching up on her and she was in need of some space and isolated time. During the holidays, she didn’t want to meet many people because she had a lot of thinking to do and was in need of inspiration. So she took a cabin in the Virgin River and started exploring the area.
Therese Plummer changes the narration into a soothing symphony when the story comes to the Virgin River again. Kaylee is so impressed by the natural scenery of the town and also the people who are willing to help each other and also the strangers who come to the town.
One Wish kind of wish seems to be coming true in the story but Kaylee still thinks that there is something missing in her life until the day she met a dog trainer. It was just a coincidence of the kind we have already observed in A New Hope that brings positivity to Kaylee’s life. She does not fall in love with the dog trainer at once but there is good hope which arouses after their first encounter and they finally start thinking that they can move forward in life in an energized way.
