Two tribes on the verge of war finally came down to the point of peace and the treaty between them got signed pleasantly. Signing the treaty means that there would be no war between them ever in the coming future. But the treaty got signed under one condition i.e the Kai prince must marry a Gauri woman. This marriage means that the two tribes will get engaged in a bond after the wedding.
Prince Brishen knew that his wife would be an ugly woman and still he agreed to it for the sake of peace which happens to be beneficial for his land. On the other hand Ilkido, the wife of the prince is from the family of the Gauri king and she too agreed for the sake of peace. On the wedding day, the couple saw one another and several things got revealed which were previously hidden from them.
Author Grace Draven has laid great stress on the culture of the two clans in the first half and the next half is devoted to the two love birds. In Eidolon and Entreat Me the characters had outward beauty as well but it is not the case here. Both characters which Gabrielle Baker narrates have an inner beauty that is more impressive than the apparent one.
The two start understanding each other after their marriage and realize that they were made for each other. They cover each other’s weaknesses and become the strength of their partner which completes their personality. Love thrives between them very quickly after their marriage and it was something which their parents never expected at the time of marriage.
