Parental Guidance marks the beginning of an entirely new series with the name of Ice Knights. It is a contemporary romance book and the author of this book is Avery Flynn. She is a promising American author of romance who already has a few bestsellers in Wall Street Journal and USA Today. If you have a good look at the archives of Avery Flynn that Enemies on Top would probably come out as the best novel. His Undercover Princess is another superb novel that deserved to be read or listened in audio format.
The narration of this novel is done by Tim Paige. It was a powerful performance which will let you go through this book very smoothly and easily.
This book tells an interesting story of a hockey player. It starts when the player having some considerable PR problems. He discovered himself on a very poorly planned and executed date which was with a redhead girl. He really had to tough that out for as many as 5 dates for making it look with no flaking at all. Obviously, he doesn’t have to show that he is falling in love. Despite all tries and despite all odds, things didn’t went as they were planned in the later phase. This is where the story really gets interesting and would grip the attention of the audience just so easily.
Avery Flynn has definitely done a lot better than this novel when it comes to writing. It wasn’t a bad attempt but at times, it looked raw and juvenile. The audio performance given by Tim Paige was unquestionably brilliant. The book could make a good weekend read.
