The narration of this audiobook is performed by the duo of Joe Hempel and Carly Robins. The female narrator does have a bit of a high-pitched voice but we get used to it.
Kelsey Adams has had a lonely existence since childhood. She knows one thing quite well, and that is running away from her darkest and deepest secrets. She doesn’t want to get too close to anyone. However, she lands an amazing job as the assistant to Kyle Westin. This changes her life but she has to conceal her growing feelings from Kyle.
Kyle is an alpha male who has been observing the little she-wolf for a long time. He was waiting for her to show any sign of recognition. His patience has its limits and he has to make her notice him. She has to break down the walls she has built around herself. Otherwise, she might do the very thing she knows best – to run.
It is an intriguing story and the characters are well-developed. The story doesn’t get too weird especially from the perspective of the heroine and also avoids being too raunchy. Since there are plenty of stories out there that are all about sex, it is nice to read a story that is a breath of fresh air. Great things can be expected of this author.
