Sebastian York and Neva Navarre are the two narrators of this book. Between the two, if one had to choose, they would most likely go with Sebastian as Neva does a satisfactory job herself but can’t hold a candle to him.
Jade Roberts loves Talon Steel but is no longer welcome at his place. She wants to move on and tries her level best. When her boss asks her to dig up information on him coincidentally, she couldn’t say yes any quicker. Steel and his brothers are up to something.
When they see each other again, Talon can’t control his passions for Jade. He wants her, he craves her. His desires are becoming an addiction, an obsession. He realizes she deserves better than a broken person like him, but can’t control himself. He is trying to heal from the past. As he does, Jade uncovers some secrets that inevitably threaten their relationship.
Sometimes we see in this book the characters diverge from the unique qualities that make them interesting. Sometimes Jade comes off as very weak and Talon as very controlling. It is also very repetitive as the sex scenes get boring after a while. The book once again ends up in a sort of cliffhanger which has been the norm of the series.
