The narrator Nicole Poole did a solid job providing accurate voices for the different characters. Her on-the-point tone inflections greatly added to the enjoyment.

As the latent power awakens inside of Penny, she comes face to face with one of the most corrupt organizations out there – the Mages’ Guild. Since she barely knows the difference between spells and swear-words, she doesn’t seem fit to survive the upcoming doom.
Then, she meets Emory, the most feared and best mage in the world. The mysterious and handsome mage is all that stands between Penny and magical enslavement.
Breene doesn’t fail to deliver and she hasn’t failed this time either. If you’re a fan of the Fire & Ice trilogy, you’re bound to like this book. The book is more than entertaining and it will make you laugh more often than not.
