Sara Snow talks about the past in the story initially and then she moves on to the present which has become quite scary because of the happening of the past. Ruby was supposed to be a miracle child because her mother died along with her during childbirth. Then something strange happened and Ruby came back to life. This was a surprise for everyone and people thought that it was a god that saved the child.
No doubt about it that it was a god that saved the life of the child but she is not happy after growing up and becoming a teenager. She has powers too which make her a special case but she wants to know why she was given all this luxury. When she asks her father about the thing, her father tells her the truth behind her resurrection. The vampires have started invading the territories of the humans and it is not very far away when the vampires will start ruling the human world.
The girl with the unique gift stands in the way and she thinks that she was chosen for this particular role by the god. In the end, perhaps she will have to give back what was given to her at her birth. Meg Price has narrated the other parts Luna Rising and Luna Captured as well so this makes her the official narrator of the series.
Prepare your mind to listen to the same voice for the weeks to come as well because you would be going to the next part right after the end of this one. The story will move very quickly once it reaches the climax so keep prepared.
