Lucky Suit is a romance novel by New York Times bestselling author Lauren Blakely. Her novels are very magnetizing as she knows what her audience wants and then gives it to them. She doesn’t do anything halfway and this novel here is proof of that. It is filled with charm, comedy, and chemistry as it tells the story of Kristen Leonard and Cameron. These are two people who don’t think they know each other, yet want to trust their hearts over their heads. Check out other works by the author, such as Birthday Suit and Never Have I Ever.
The novel has been narrated by Zachary Webber and Andi Arndt. The sweet love story is spot on narrated by their voices. The dual voices make it even more realistic. They are a dynamic duo that adds dimensions to the audiobook.
Kristen is done with setups. She wants to take her chance on the algorithms of online dating applications to find her one true love. She hits the jackpot soon as she meets the man of her dreams. He is hilarious, smart, and kind. When she finally meets him in person, he looks exactly like his picture on his profile. Still, she feels as if something is wrong, she can’t point what exactly. There’s no telling by what stroke of luck they met each other, but it feels like fate intervened. They really can’t miss a beat now; all bets are off the table.
The story is adorable as you will fall in love with Cameron and Kristen, especially if you’re already a fan of Lauren’s work. The characters are believable and the story isn’t farfetched. It gets a bit predictable sometimes but that is something you can’t escape sometimes.
