There are other worlds in this universe and other life forms too which we are exploring in space since day one. One concept that has emerged in humans from the beginning is the confidence that if space exploration would take place they would be the first species to be doing so. Humans never thought that any other living specie would be clever enough to start traveling in space before them.
Then a gate was opened in the solar system by aliens which totally took the human world by surprise. No one was ready for it and they thought that it would be a dramatic alien attack but no such thing happened. The Glatun that reached the earth’s orbit first were peace loving beings but this was just the beginning. Author John Ringo later introduces Horvath that comes with the mindset to dominate the planet.
As a beginning Horvath throws big rocks on cities which squeeze them flat. It is up to Tyler Vernon later to free the humans from this new alien race. Running on the path of East of the Sun, West of the Moon and Citadel for some time, the story later creates its individual path.
Mark Boyett’s narration further takes it to a different level where it gets separated from the rest of John’s works. There are no love songs in the novel so the love birds should choose something else for the night. Those looking for fights and struggles should give their time to this book. Plot is strong and the characterization rules supreme throughout in the primary and the secondary characters of the novel.
