Little Fires Everywhere Audiobook
Mother and daughter have a special relationship all the time and this relationship never grows old or weak no matter what happens between them. Celeste Ng begins the novel with Elena Richardson’s introduction who is having a wonderful time because her life is in her complete control and nothing goes out of order ever. The entire scenery gets disturbed for Elena when a mother and her teenage daughter come and settle at the same place.
Narrator Jennifer Lim has not altered the narration a lot because the change is not sudden. Slowly Elena starts feeling the change that is brought by Mia Warren and her daughter. Mia happens to be a single mother so no one knows much about her husband who left her many years ago.
Mia and Pearl quickly make a spot in the society and when the adoption of a Chinese kid is raised in the society, it splits into two groups. Mia and Elena happen to be leading the opposite sides so some sort of rivalry develops between these two. Everything I Never Told You and Our Missing Hearts could be better stories but the dark secrets in this book overshadow the rest.
It is Mia who has a past that she has never revealed in front of anyone and Elena is going to find it out. Elena wants to know all about Mia’s past so that she can beat her in this competition that has started in society. When Elena tries to dig deep she too becomes alarmed and thinks that she has made a mistake. Some secrets should never be brought to light.
