Lies is a romantic suspense novel. It is written by Kylie Scott. She is an outstanding American author of romance novels and has been in the limelight since 2014. The award-winning author could be seen at her best in the End of Story novel. Moreover, Twist is another good one from Kylie Scott. The audio narration of Lies is done by Andi Arndt. She was superb with her vocal performance and you will enjoy it.
Betty Dawsey knew that breaking ties with Thom Lange was for the best. He was a nice guy, but quite boring. Moreover, their relationship had no spark. The usually steady and composed Thom doesn’t look that steady and predictable when their condo exploded. After that, Betty was kidnapped by a couple of crazy men who claimed that Thom wasn’t the one he says he was. Thom was having a tough time there. He was not only hunting down a double agent but he was also dumped by his fiancée. And all thanks to his undercover life that she had been kidnapped.
It soon came out that Thom was Operative Thom. Moreover, he had a few more secrets to share with Betty if he was to keep her alive. Having their lives on the line, their lacklustre life all of a sudden was replaced by an extremely intense one. But in his typical line of work, feelings were not something that are desired or wanted. It was all because of the reason that feelings could lead to a lethal distraction.
The story of Lies is intense and it will also make you laugh several times. However, the development of the story could have been much better.
